It probably is installed before the shaft/gears are in place.

You said in post #4 that you judged the shaft cut at the shortest length- that's not accurate. Changing the top link length can also change the shaft length. You need to cut the shaft marginally shorter than the shortest length that you've judged.

What? It IS normal. A couple of variables that will lead to stabilizers not pinning symmetrically- a bent implement frame, long link pins- the lift arm ends aren't positioned on the pins at the same place, and the width of the implement frame not mathematically working with the spacing...

It's normal. There are lots of variables involved, which may require non-symmetrical pinning of the stabilizers to get the implement centered.

My 790 has pretty deep low range gears. I think that I could manage it.

Anybody use one on a manual transmission tractor? I know that hydrostatic is ideal, but I don't have one.
