I know this is an older thread but I thought I'd share my experience.
I had the same leak the OP was talking about. Its not a really hard fix. The culprit is the factory sending unit. The way it connects to the tank is just by compressing a rubber gasket with several bolts/nuts. The new and...
I will do that. Yes, its a single wire. We had a new water neck installed (my warehouse guy accidently broke the original one). It looks like they installed the old sensors back into the new neck. The problem started shortly after the work was done.
I have a Toro Groundmaster 580d with a temp switch issue. The switch is part number 93-3526. When the switch is connected the machine will only run for about 2 seconds. When disconnected the machine will run normal. Does anyone know exactly what this switch does? Does it measure temp or...
I had the same type of issue with mine. Drove me nuts for a year. Would run fine 20 minutes then it would run out of fuel, slow down, then run good....then slow down again. After much trial and error I figured out that the fuse was loosing connection after the fuel pump runs for a while. I...
The springs are only for cable tension. As stated by RJ the throttle is held by friction nuts and washers. There should be two nuts. One locks the other. Doesnt need much tightening to get your desired friction.
Check the wiring on that solenoid. Sometimes it looses ground and wont work. Also, there is a little fuse block under the dash. Sometimes those fuses looks continuity, just pull them out and clean the contacts.
Very common on G1900 tractors. I'd clean all connections. One thing to check is the voltage to the solenoid, they are notorious for not having good voltage at the solenoid. Some have added an extra relay to send power to the solenoid.
I've always liked the GR but have been afraid to get one because of the transmission issues I've read about... a lot of them. I hope you have a good one!
Keep checking Facebook Market Place, Ebay and Craigslist. Every so often you might find and old g1900 for sale with those parts. It takes persistence but the parts are out there.
From your description I would think that the safety switch on the PTO is the culprit. (Its probably sticking) The engine will not start with the PTO engaged and if the PTO is engaged the seat sensor is active.
The switch is under the dash below the PTO handle. You need to take off the screen...
Today I drained all the fuel and blew out the return line. It looked like my lift pump was putting out good flow so I didn't change it. Filled with new fuel and started it. Ran very well with plenty of power. Normal throttle response. But, after about 20 mins of running I noticed it did...
