    4wd on BX23 - not working?

After a month of not being able to use the tractor (flooding and extremely wet weather), I put the backhoe on the bx23 and installed some underdrain around my yard. After backfilling the trench, I went to backblade the area and noticed that tractor could hardly move. I was in 4wd, but it...

    Another Leak Down question

I have a BX23 with about 300 hours. While operating the tractor - loader work - the BH's main boom leaks down about 1/2" per hour. Last night I tested the leakdown rate while stored and the drop was insignificant overnight. I don't have a problem with leaving the pin in the BH and I always...

    bx23 dented and leaking

I have received a lot of great information from this web site, but this past weekend reminded me why I spend so much time reading the posts. After doing some grading on Saturday, I put the bx in the garage and went to coach my son's baseball game. When I got back in the late afternoon, I gave...

    Tractor in Cold/Snow

I had to clear my driveway early this morning - 6" of snow with wind drifting to 2' high in spots (very cold and windy). In cold weather, how long should you let the tractor warm up? The bx-23 is kept in an insulated garage (inside temperature was about 30 deg. at 4 am). In New Hampshire, we...

    Crankcase oil

I'm sure this topic has been done before, but I thought I would ask. I was told that 15-40 oil is prefered for summer use and 10-30 is more for year round. I'm about to change the oil, and I'm looking for a recommendation. I'm in southern New Hampshire, and we still have another month of...

    removing engine cover - bx23

I think this is obvious, but I'll ask anyways - Do you have to remove the front end loader, grill guard and engine cover in order to change the oil filter on the BX tractor - We got snow last night and I was too tired after work to look at it. Thanks

    50 hr service - bx23

I'm ready to have the 50 hr service on my bx23. In the kubota buying forum I have seen posts that show that the dealer included a "50 hr service kit" when they purchased their tractor. Does Kubota have a service kit (fluid/filters) for the first service or do you just buy everything...

    no downpressure

I have a bx23 w/30hrs. There is no downpressure on the loader. The loader can move and lift but all of a sudden it can't raise the tractor (I was doing some grading and loader work). What could be the problem? Thanks

    BX23 Grease Fitting

10 hrs on the new machine and went to grease all the points. The pin located on the bottom of the bucket cylinder (closest to the loader bucket center) as well as the other bucket pins do not have greese fittings. Is this common? Should I drill/install a fitting at these locations or is there...

    Tractor Cleaning

I have about 8 hours on my new BX23. I've been using a rear grader blade to grade my dry clay lot so I've got a layer of fine particles all over and in every mechanical part of the tractor. I'm tempted to use my air compressor to clean it but I thought I would check to see if anyone has any...
