why is no air coming out the air hose. just started. so now it's blowing oil out the air valve.

I just bought a 1972 Yanmar 1700- a "girlie" tractor and while it needs some fixin (leaking water hose/ leaking oil gasket , it also came with a 4 ft pull behind mower. It needs parts but there isn't any sticker to tell me what brand or model. Help!
