    YM186D Compressiontest

Sounds like you have done all the right things except; have you checked your valve clearances. Yanmar published a mistake back about the time the YM186 was being made and said .006" clearance, they corrected it to .008" cold at TDC. Where are you located?

    Woods rm360

A 60" mower is too big and too heavy for your YM165D. It will handle a 48" just fine and will even run the 54".

Straight pipe on yanmar 2TR series engine

Your tractor has a muffler, use it. The muffler mounts to the exhaust manifold on a square bolt pattern. Turn it 90 degrees so it points straight up and put a taller pipe on the top..

    front pto kit for 186D

The YM186 used the same front PTO kit as the 180, 187, 220 and 226. So I'm sure there is a good used on out there, just a matter of finding one. I will check out some of the boneyards and PM you with what I find.

YT 2610 transmission needed & printed service manual

What makes you think your tractor needs a new tranny? We have very little trouble with the powershift trans. Tell us what is happening and one of us may be able to help you solve the problem.

    Broken front gears ym186d

I have attached pics of your YM186D front axle parts. They may help you in determining the problem. Sounds to me like Harry in KY may be correct.

    Yanmar Clutch

The PowerShift clutch packs do not require high pressure like the loader does. They only need about 225 psi. And revving the engine really does not effect it. It puts out that much pressure at an idle. The pump for the clutch packs is separate from the pump for the rest of the hydraulics. The...

    1985 ym26 won't move

The YM126 was never officially imported into the U.S. About 4 or 5 were brought in for testing and evaluation. They were the same single cylinder engine as the YM122 but had the same PowerShift transaxle as the YM146 (GT14). Yanmar decided to stay with the YM122 which had a gear shift tranny and...

    1985 ym26 won't move

It really doesn't matter, all those models have basically the same rear end/differential. If it won't move unless the diff lock is engaged, the bolts in the diff have sheared off.

    1985 ym26 won't move

I presume he means a YM226. The early models were made with six bolt rears and later ones with 8 bolt rears.

    1985 ym26 won't move

First check your trans. fluid, if it's too low your power shift will not engage. Is your YM26 four wheel drive? If so, engage the front wheels and see if they will move the tractor. If it does, sounds like the bolts on the rear differential have sheared off.

Headlamps from P15D-25 incandescent to HALOGENS.

From these pix can you determine what halogen or LED bulb will replace this headlight bulb from my YM226D? It has dual elements for hi/lo. Yanmar part no. is 194262-53080. Only writing is 12V 25W.

    Ym276d not starting

On your YM276 the battery ground cable does not connect directly to the frame of the tractor. When you disconnect it to clean the connections you will see that the ground cable connects to the pan (# 37) the battery sits in. The pan is bolted to the frame and this is what actually creates the...

    Frontend Loader for YM220D

Actually Yanmar had both frontend loaders made. The YFL was the standard loader and the YLD was a light duty loader. The materials were not as heavy duty, including the bucket and it had smaller diameter cylinders, and only one dump/retract cylinder mounted in the center of the bucket.
