    DIY Chainsaw Bar Scabbard

    Hey there - I've decided recently to share some of my random projects from around the property on YouTube. I'm by no means an expert on any of the topics, just sharing my ideas and what I do around the property. Here's a quick video on how I made a DIY chainsaw bar scabbard out of some old...

    Loader  Kubota B1630 Loader

    Can anyone tell me the specs of the hydraulic cylinders on a Kubota B1630 loader? Bucket cylinder: 70050-93634 Lift cylinder: 70050-93635 I have contacted Kubota, as well as Messick's, and neither can give me measurement information (bore, stroke, etc.) for the cylinders on this loader. Thanks.

    Quick update on the wheel hub situation: I added 1 new cinch bolt to each hub. I used a 1/2" fine thread grade 8 bolt, with a grade 8 nut. The hubs drilled and tapped just fine (I think), but it seemed that the metal was either too soft, or not thick enough, or a combination of both, to support...

    Driver side: Passenger side: Note, the bolts with double nuts go through the pin hole. They are grade 8 bolts that I put in because before there was nothing in the pin hole preventing the tires from coming off the tractor.

    Any ideas on how to shim in between my wheel hub and axle shaft? There is a lot of play between the two.

    Haven’t posted in a while. Did some work with the Yanmar this weekend. My bucket is 16” for size comparison. Love this little thing.

    Not able to measure at the moment, but I will take a measurement soon. I am pretty confident it is 7/8” though. Here’s a screenshot from Hoye that makes me think the arm they are selling is not Cat 1.

    Pump is off, finally. Said the heck with it and gave it a tug in 1st gear. There was no way it was coming off any other way. I sprayed almost a whole can of PB Blaster on it over the course of a day. When it came off the PTO shaft there was a puff of rust smoke. Now I can finally get some...

    I don't see a snap ring on it. Unless there is some way for me to remove this portion with red on it and then have access to the pin;

    Pictures of the PTO shaft connecting to the PTO pump. I drained the backhoe hydraulics and unhooked the hoses and got the backhoe unhooked from the tractor. I think I will better be able to tackle removing the pump now. It’s been soaking in rust penetrant for about 4 days now. Still won’t budge...

    I am considering testing the gauge for accuracy. Perhaps by boiling it? I’ll be honest though, it was kind of a pain to get it in the tractor so I’m trying to avoid taking it off again. Lol Thoroughly flushed the radiator (it’s new anyways) and cooling system today. I never really thought it...

    According to what I have seen/read, the temp warning light for a thermosiphon cooling system like this would come on at 248 and go off at 233.

    I said I’d post some pics of how the backhoe is attached, finally got around to taking a few pictures:

    Can anyone confirm if this fitting is where I will install the probe end of a mechanical temperature gauge? I tried to follow the temperature warning light wire back from the dash but the warning light was unplugged so I can’t.

    This is what I was referring to, except quick-connect. Interesting about having an internal over-run clutch. Does this ever need to be serviced or anything like that? I will have to do the test of shutting the engine off and trying to turn to the PTO shaft.
