I wanted a loaded 5045E with loader, roof, & stuff in 2011. Local dealer had to order one. Dealer an hour away had a new one but 2010 model exactly as I wanted it sitting on his lot - got it for almost $5k less. Delivered free. Love the tractor. GN

If you can afford it, get one of each! Best of both worlds! You can do 80% of your stuff on the "easy" 4-post! Your shop is big enough. That's why commercial shops have both. What's a few more thousand dollars with a shop your size?

My 3-bay shop/garage is 40 x 26, built in 2012, with a 10k lb. 2-post lift and boy am I glad I got a 2-post. Too many things you cannot do on a 4-post. Door issue is an inconvenience only solved by a commercial lift with posts farther apart. You have a dream shop - my only regret is I didn't...

BTW, 40 years ago I used to restore old Massey Ferguson tractors and flip them - oldest I did was 1939 if I remember correctly. Gas engine.

Don't understand how 2 outputs are "free-wheeling". Yes, I've synched generators but always with internal synching electronics. Phase synchronizers. Does water turbine flow drive these generators?

I'm a retired electrical engineer (both power and computers) and I'd love to know HOW you flash their fields and sync them - and how do you synch them with the online frequency? GN

40 years ago when I was a young buck I used to flip/restore/sell MF 135's for fun & $$$. Always wanted a 265. Then we moved to a 15 acre property with few flat parts and many steep parts and a 2WD tractor was useless on over half our land. Had 4x4 for 25 years now - never go back.... GN

Driveway through others property to our 15 acres is 1/2 mile long, was gravel for years but then had paved with fine asphalt millings and this is ideal for either - been using for about 20 years - mine is by Leinhart but apparently they are out of business now: Other versions...

I have 8 grandkids & step-grandkids. I make a game of it and have them all pick up sticks and put them in my front end loader of my JD 5045E then dump each load in the surrounding woods. They have a ball!

Tractor like new, just over 400 hrs. I'm an electrical guy and normally solve such problems quickly. But this is unusual. Solar panel keeping battery charged failed, battery very low.....engine would turn 1 or 2 revs, then battery dead. Tried jumping from car. No change even tho I brought...
