In looking at the parts diagram that was provided by another member I believe you are 100% correct. My guess would be that the set screw worked its way loose resulted in the bearing spinning off. My hope is that I can get away with just replacing the bearing and not the entire assembly.

Thank you for the help with the identification of this unit. Great info and advice and really appreciate the link to the manuals and parts. I already have them printed out. Now that its not 100 degrees here in Pennsylvania I will tear the unit apart and see what needs replacing. Many thanks
