This is a great dyi grapple lid! I salute you! It's very much the same concept as the Precision Manufacturing Add A Grapple, which I bought and installed. But yours probably cost less, and you can take pride in having made it yourself.

Okay, so how come my 261cm needs 9 or ten pulls to start cold? I use alcohol-free gas. Even new plug, new air filter, new fuel filter, new fuel solenoid don't help. Warm start is generally better. I try to go through the recalibration (gen 3) but it won't drop down, just keeps roaring.

Sounds very useful! How did you do it? That is: lock the curl function, connect to the curl circuit, etc. Do you control the flow with the loader handle?
