I have been asked why I charge for travel time and idle time waiting for parts or materials. My response is, “I am not available to someone else at this time, I bill it”. My time has to be worth something. Some separate man hours from machine hours and total them.

I asked my Kubota dealer why they put hydraulic fluid in the front axel of my tractor. He stated that it was so they only had to use one fluid for all of the cavities. They used 80-90 gear oil when they replaced the front axel seals under warranty.
