Went from a Category 1 to Category 2 tractor. Now attachments won't fit

I was thinking that too. Probably to provide more rigidity and stability.

Went from a Category 1 to Category 2 tractor. Now attachments won't fit

Thanks for the replies. Sorry, I've been busy at work and doing my taxes (first year I had to file an extension due to the complicatedness of it) and such. I actually didn't think anyone replied until I reloaded the discussion on my computer. I'll investigate further, but from what I've found...

Went from a Category 1 to Category 2 tractor. Now attachments won't fit

I believe the stabilizers are at their max. There is only one side of each that is threaded.

Went from a Category 1 to Category 2 tractor. Now attachments won't fit

Thank you for the replies. Getting frustrated here as I seem to fix tools about as much time as using them! Yes, not a bushings/pin issue. I can/have changed my implement's pins to cat 2. It's an issue with the minimum distance between the lower control arms (32" minimum). I'll have to see...

Went from a Category 1 to Category 2 tractor. Now attachments won't fit

I purchased a new Massey Ferguson 4710 tractor for my other property. I kept my Massey Ferguson 2680M to use at the property I live on. The issue I am having is the lower link arms will not close in enough on the 4710 to hook up any of the attachments I have. The picture shows a flail mower...

Cold weather start, with glow plugs and block heater. Why does my tractor not start at minus 20 C?

Jelled fuel? Try adding Diesel 9-1-1 and clear the fuel filter if that doesn't help.

    E OR M Massey?

I've noticed that the M Series appears to be a little heavier than the E Series. For the 2860, it's about 400 pounds.

    E OR M Massey?

I'm getting the 2860E with hst. I see that the E series has slightly more pto horsepower and the loader has more lift capacity than the M series.

Thank you! Just ordered a can.

    Grapple style preference

I'm looking to purchase a grapple. We have a lot of rocks and I'd like to be able to use it to get under the rocks, dislodge them, and carry them away. I'd also like to extract brush by the root ball. I wouldn't be opposed as to going over the area first with a root rake to loosen things up...

    Kubota BX2680 flasher switch stuck

I believe my flasher switch is stuck in the down position and I can't seem to get it unstuck. It is always on now. Has anyone experienced this? My tractor stays outside. I use it.

    E OR M Massey?

    I know the M series has mid-mount pto and the E doesn't.

Supply chain issues not ending soon - Case and New Holland in this article.

A friend of mine went to the local chevy dealer to purchase a new 2500 truck. They had one on the lot. The dealer wouldn't sell it to him because he didn't have a trade-in and the dealer said there was another customer coming in later that did.

The local Kubota dealer seems to be receiving inventory lately. Unlike the local Mercedes, Subaru, Chevy, and Toyota dealers.

Locked in a purchase of a Massey Ferguson 2860E. I have to wait a month because I want R1 tires on it and not the R4's it came with. Also wanted the third function kit for the FEL but MF told the dealer they have no idea when all of the components will be available for it. The dealer is...
