    Will a 240 hood fit a LX176?

I think I can go get some measurements to see if the metal hinges will fit the LX176 frame. There is the possibility the 240 hood is longer than the LX176 hood also. I am still looking on Amazon trying to compare the hoods that way also. The 240 is not going anywhere, it has been next to the...

    Will a 240 hood fit a LX176?

If no one else checks in with a recommendation I'll go over and buy the 240 and see if the parts will fit.

    Will a 240 hood fit a LX176?

The lower hood on my LX176 is broken beyond repair, but my neighbor has a 240 that has a great looking hood with metal hinges that he is willing to sell me. Can I swap the parts that I need from the 240 to the LX176? I already know that the hoods don't look the same, I am just trying to keep...

looking for a rebuilder for my 425 engine

Brian Moyer did the work and bought the motor for spare parts. As far as I know he has not done anything with it yet. Now that I see what this 750D does I realize how bad the old motor was. It was to the point that it would cut the grass as long as it was within a week of cutting it before...

looking for a rebuilder for my 425 engine

reviving an old thread here. Long story short instead of rebuilding the 20 horse Kawasaki in my 425 I did a repower instead. The kit I got came from this company. https://www.repowerpros.com/products/john-deere-425-engine-replacement/12237 I picked up the engine at their shop and dropped it...

7 bushel rear bagger for 425

I have to replace the hopper top for my rear bagger and am not sure what part numbers are for mine. The John Deere parts catalog has a few different numbers, but I am thinking they are for newer 400 series, not my 1995 425. Then again maybe they are all the same? I looked for part numbers on...

looking for a rebuilder for my 425 engine

Dann, The tractor is using oil now, every other start I will be topping the oil up. At the moment I want to be proactive because I don't want it to die on me during the busy mowing, yard maint. season. I am hoping for a call back from a machine shop today about a rebuild. I had considered...

looking for a rebuilder for my 425 engine

Ok, I stopped at Hilltop today, no motors are available according to them. The tractor is just to old. They did supply me with a name of a company locally that may do the rebuild on the motor. I am stopping at their shop tomorrow afternoon. More then.

looking for a rebuilder for my 425 engine

Wow, that is one complete engine. A few things won't fit my 425 but swaping parts over should not be a big deal. The John Deere shortblock would be ok also. I get to find out today what the deal with that will be. I'll let you all know tonight.

    Newbie with 1995 425 AWS

I have not replace that part, thought about it, but did not do it yet. I would imagine since it seems to be flooding when hot it may be bad. I will put it on my list of things to do this coming week. Thanks for the suggestion!!!!

looking for a rebuilder for my 425 engine

So Sorry, Bangor PA. 18013. A friend suggested I just go to John Deere and order a new motor. Gonna call tomorrow to the local place, Hilltop Sales and ask about it. I guess these days I am going to have to pay freight any way you look at it. The one place requires you ship your core to...
