I'm retiring in a couple months and I won't be able to afford to send the tractor off to the shop for repairs. I spent several years as a heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic years ago and still have all my tools. So I can do most repairs.
But so far I've beee unable to track down a Service/Shop manual...
Out of curiosity does anyone know where the computer module is located on the LS tractors. I've done some work from time to time on my 3040, filters, replaced a broken hose, etc. but haven't seen the computer module. Just wondered where it is located.

I have 16 acres of pines. Largest are maybe 8 inches. The area burned about 20 years ago so most of them are small. The ones less than 4 inches I can just pull out whole with little problem. The larger ones are more than my tractor can handle (LS 3040 about 2 tons with loader and hitch weights...
I broke one stabilizer bar this weekend when the bushhog snagged a tree trunk and bent the other one.
I took the bent one off and planning to carry it to the dealer at lunch time today to get replacements.
Am I correct in assuming that stabilizer bars are fairly generic?

I've spent the last couple month on and off looking at tractors and had it narrowed down to an LS 3040 or a Mahindra 3616.
Went out yesterday to make the purchase. I was slightly leaning towards the Mahindra since the brand is wider known and parts are plentiful.
