Rear wheels no longer have power to them?

It's mostly back together now, blue Loctite was indeed used on the new bolts. I just noticed in the parts catalog that the original 8.8 screws have been superseded by M8-1.25 X 20 10.9 Metric C.S. I'd also expect the torque spec increased, but have no idea where to find that... Looks like JD...

Rear wheels no longer have power to them?

And the final answer is... sheered ring/pinion bolts! The hope is that they were never properly torqued by JD, the fear is this will happen again.

Rear wheels no longer have power to them?

Thanks for the replies, I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being something like a $2 circlip! I'll be sure to update this post.

Rear wheels no longer have power to them?

Another clue, no rotation with the rear wheels off the ground.

Rear wheels no longer have power to them?

A good thought, but no, the rims aren't spinning. There's a slight drop in RPM and some trans rotation noise when you release the clutch in-gear, but no movement. I'm wondering if there's something in the power reverser mechanism that's not being shuttled/activated....

Rear wheels no longer have power to them?

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I'm trying to diagnose a JD 4510 with the same symptoms. I PMd Eric, but no response. Anyone else have any ideas? Fluid and filters have been changed, all other hydraulics are working as well as MFWD, just no rear drive. Diff lock has no effect. Thanks!
