Just had a similar problem. Mine was the brakes were not releasing. The spring, part number LVU11264 was broken and the lever arm was seized. Hammer on it and sprayed it with penetrating oil and got it free. Needs new springs to get it to release the brakes properly. This video helped
I recently got a used John Deere 305 Gang Reel Mower. The RCV or Remote Hydraulic Cables were shot so I took the to shop that does such things and they broke em and couldn't fix em. Awesome.
