The water pump is gear driven by the oil pump. Supentin belt does not power it. 5030 that could be the problem but bought from a reputable company.

Thanks everyone. I did remove the fan. I was able to remove the fan with the help of my uncle and tap the pulleys up just enough for the bolts to clear. Didnt have to remove the radiator doing it that way. Got it all button up and now have the dreaded gear whine. Does anyone have any...

Gear drive Gear driven pump also...easy access except for that one bolt want clear. Its just catching. Tried to persuade it a little but no luck

Would have been a 30 minute job if there were notches in the pulley so bolt could clear

No it does not. There are like three bolts that sit aft of fan base...got the top one out no problem. The other is still inside the water but it shod slide right ou when everything is loose. The third bolt is the butt. Sits lower and just barely hitting the fan pulley but will not clear.

Did pretty much that but one bolt does not have enough clearance to clear the fan pulley. It was going so simple till ran into that problem. Help anyone?

Can anyone assist with instructions on how to remove and replace the water pump on this tractor(massey ferguson 431). Thanks in advance.
