I just bought an Echo 2511t clone for $99. What was I thinking?

I shouldn't have opened and read thru this thread. It might not affect me right away, but it will eventually I suspect :D

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

Instead of getting the one he looked at with the collected quick coupler and bucket, he got another one that had the quick coupler and bucket.....and 7 hrs on the clock.

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

I think if the dealer at least made the effort to wash and wipe off the grease it would have went a long way. New machines should look new, the dealer should have that bit of pride and put in that small effort. Delivering the machine as clean as practical, might have made the 7hrs not so hard to...

TYM wants to tip or roll over - need advise

Also if it's a cast aluminum trans case......they can break more easily than people think. Sorta related, my neighbor has a Kubota with a backhoe on it. He was working out a stump. Cracked the cast aluminum case. Expensive part and expensive labor to replace. He (and I) was shocked to see it...

    Equipment security cameras

Honestly they are good neighbors, but I can't get a word in edgewise when I interact (listen to) them. Not worth the effort to ask more details. All I know is what was said... as I said. Apparently the guy's been in trouble with the cops before. They went to the seller?? Really, would you think...

Owning a small tractor is a blessing.

Yes tractors are cool and handy. If you were ever in a position to need/want/could use/ a Forklift...... Now that's another whole level of handy. I have several that are currently under my care.

    Equipment security cameras

Neighbors event barn/ ice cream store, cameras caught perp stealing their utility trailer. Then they found it for sale on marketplace (by HIM). State police wouldn't do NOTHING. Video proof of him taking trailer off the property. Best of luck.......

1st time at my new property & 1st time ever brush-hogging - some lessons learned

Wow those tail wheels are dirt cheap! 25 yrs ago I bought a used-abused Woods 5ft brushog, no tail wheel. I called the Woods dealer, $375! Went to an auto junkyard, got a front strut/wheel/tire off of a Datsun. Scrounged up some ball bearings, barstock, a few bits turned on the lathe, welded...

Equipment buying negotiation strategies, haggling stories sellers, etc.

And this is why I have 2 accounts on Facebook Marketplace. If they get pissed off at my alias, I come along and make the deal. I had one guy get all weird on a compressed air drier, answered 1 of 4 questions I had, then went silent. Guy was a flake. They abound on Facebook and Craigslist. I...

My Stupidity kicked in at full throttle.

OP solved the problem by page 5, now up to page 11. My only thought is, I'm amazed how many people are saying "Pull on it" and/or "Hammer on it". FYI, there are ball or roller bearings, among other components, inside the case that don't respond well to shock loads. A puller that pulls on the...

    Oxy/acet tank ownership transfer

Whatever changed with Airgas, they now could care less about lease or ownership, and just exchange MT for Full. Some years back, very strict about leases or proof of ownership, and if you brought in a bottle that wasn't on your account, you had 2 choices if you couldn't produce paperwork. 1...

Since we are talking about excavators: Chinese Mini X vs. Subframe backhoe on tractor.

Well, $750 for the BH attachment, that needed $400 in new hoses. And the $2500 Skid Steer, than needed $400 in wheel motor repairs. But well worth the time and money IMO.

Since we are talking about excavators: Chinese Mini X vs. Subframe backhoe on tractor.

I dunno.....I'm cheap. Don't like to tie up $$$$ in machinery I only need occasionally. I picked up this Backhoe attachment off of CL years ago for $750, adapted it to the $2500 1983 Mustang SS, and it's been a heck of a lot better than a pick & shovel ever since. Both needed some work when I...

Tractor in shop for 100 days

That's really interesting. I'd like to see actual proof of that happening, especially with a company as big as GM. I've never heard of the BBB 'taking' anyone's 'case', they aren't a legal firm. Details would be interesting to hear. Edit: That guy that told you that story must have got lucky...

Tractor in shop for 100 days

OP might be an old guy that's not on the 'net much? Whoever he is, he's not much interested in opinions or help from this forum Maybe he's forgotten his AOL password? :geek: The BBB The Better Business BS organization, is a complete joke. The most they'll do for anyone is post a bad review of...
