I'm also in Tennessee on the Cumberland Plateau. When I purchased my first tractor, I chose a Mahindra 5010 Cab HST. I have NEVER regretted getting a cab as the Temps get to 85 to 95 degrees mid summer. I mow 5 acres every two weeks plus move wood during the winter. A cab is definitely a plus!

I am just beginning my search for a compact tractor to be primarily used to cut grass on 5 acres of rolling terrain. No slope is steep, just gently rolling pasture land. I know I want either a 60"' or 72" field cutter, but am undecided on whether it should be a mid-mount or a rear PTO...
