JD 2350 3-pt not going all the way down

Ok guys, can anyone help me with this issue. My 3-pt on my 2350 has been working fine. I’ve been using a box blade to repair some lanes on the farm and suddenly the arms were first stuck all the way up and would only go down when the motor was turned off. As soon as I started it the lift arms...

    What if....?

I’d recommend you keep it unless you can’t afford it or are not comfortable operating it safely. With 40 acres, you will need a tractor. I have less than 25 acres and put around 100 hrs a year on mine. Renting one or hiring work done is always a real pain and you will seldom get things done on...

Should I replace my 2" trailer hitch?

    Storing chains

I also have several chains in my homemade carryall box

    Storing chains

I zip-tied a piece of dense foam on the top cross member between the loader arms and wrap two different size chains over the foam. Works pretty well for me.

    No steering joint boot available.

I wrapped mine with black stretch tape and then over wrapped it with electrical tape. It’s been holding for almost two years now. Did have to re-wrap once but otherwise it’s been a good inexpensive fix for me.

Frequency for slipping a clutch a rotary cutter, tiller, etc.

Ok. Thanks guys. Sounds like it’s an annual event Ok, I went on YouTube and found a bunch of videos about slipping a slip clutch on equipment. No pry bars used.

Frequency for slipping a clutch a rotary cutter, tiller, etc.

Just wondering how often you guys slip the clutch on your equipment. Is this an annual necessity or is it ok to go longer

What additives do you use in your fuel and engines?

One of my brothers is a mechanical engineer For GM. He recommended I use Stanadyne Performance Formula so i add it to the 300 gal storage tank whenever I add fuel to it. So far i’ve never had any fuel issues summer or winter.

Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

He doesn’t have a lot of experience with tractors. His is a small 1025r. No shifting. Mine is a full size utility tractor 8 fwd and 4 rev. Gears, 4x4 with a loader w/6’ bucket (cat 2). It is an 8500 lb beast that can do a lot of damage if not operated properly. I’d be afraid he’d hurt himself on...

Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

He already tilled a good size vegetable garden so I didn't want to ask him to till my land. He offered it up. I‘M just gonna tell him it’s not a good match for my Tractor. That I might damage it, and get my own next year

Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

I hear ya. I hate borrowing anything I can’t afford to replace if damaged. I didn’t ask to use it. It was offered up and I didn't want to make him feel like his was not enough unit for my tractor. I already told him it wasn’t a good match for my tractor. I’ll disc instead this year.

Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

Ok thanks a lot. I kinda figured I could hurt his new tiller but I thought maybe it wasn’t that big a deal since at least one of the areas has been tilled before but not in several years. Better safe than sorry though. I had been saving up for a 6ft tiller but when he offered his I guess I...

Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

Thanks. It’s been tilled before but with a hand tiller and it was a lot to do in my late 60’s

Will my tractor damage neighbor’s rototiller?

I guess because he didn’t offer to do it for me. Just that I could borrow his tiller. I told him it might be too small but I guess he doesn’t think so. I’ve done many favors for the family in the past and I think he just feels like he owes me but I don’t help friends or neighbors expecting...
