I just learned a valuable lesson!!

Boy, it's been a long time since I posted on here. I did some tractor work for a guy a while back and charged him $350 that he agreed to. After I was finished, I sent him the invoice for $350. After a month or so I have not received my check so I sent him another one. After 6 or 8 months of...

Need to build a brush pile mover

I need to build something to attach to the front of my tractor that will allow me to move a large amount of cedar brush and I am looking for ideas. I have been searching the forum, but have not really found what I am looking for yet. Any ideas? Pictures would be very helpful.

    "Bogging" down the engine

I have always heard that it is not good to "bog" down a diesel engine. What damage could occur to an engine by doing this?

    Not getting stuck strategy

It seems to me it is better to avoid getting stuck in the first place then having to get a tractor "unstuck". After getting stuck the last time, I am really paranoid about mud now. I used to keep my tractor in four wheel drive all the time while brush hogging but, that just kept getting me in...

    OK, I'm stuck! Now what?

I did it, I got 'er stuck...but good too. I was mowing a field and was navigating around a wet spot or at least I thought I was out of the wet spot. Now, I got my 4310 stuck, like up to frame. I worked on it all day digging mud from the front of the tires and putting boards down to try and...

How does a Grademaster grader work with smoothing sand? I think it is mostly designed for smoothing gravel roads.

Best way to smooth out a yard

What is the best way to really smooth out the hills and valleys in a yard. It is just to use the "eyeball to contact" method with a box blade or is there some "magic" implement I can use?

    Box Blade dropping

I know this topic has been discussed, but I couldn't find it. My box blade on my JD 4310 sometimes will not stay up. The handle to raise it up also falls to the bottom position. What's going on you think?

I have a JD-4310 with a EPower Reverser shuttle shift transmission . Everytime I power wash it or just squirt it down with the water hose something gets wet and it refuses to go either forward or backward until it sits for about an hour a dries off. I have looked a every electrical connection...

Does anyone have a set of plans to add gauge wheels on a BB. I did a search for gauge, but it kept finding threads on instrument gauges, so I thought I would just ask.

    Neck injuries

My neck has been hurting for 6 months or so, off and on. I finally went to the Doc about it and he seems to think it may be a torn rotator cuff. I asked him how in the world could that have happen. After discussing my activities and bringing up tractor work, he seems to think operating the...
