I found a good deal on a John Deere 4 bottom semimounted plow with lift cylinder, can I remove 1 or even 2 plows and it funtion properly with only 2 or 3 plows on it?

I have a 1966 Ford 4000 gas tractor, could a 3-14" bottom plow be pulled easily with this tractor. It is an old tractor, and wdon't want to put maximun strain on it. If this plow is to large, please recommend the size I should use. Thanks
