I worked 45 years as an Electronics Technician in various positions and types of machinery. To understand and work in my field I had to understand mechanical. A lot of times I had to help mechanics tear down and repair machines. The companies I worked for were smaller and did not have large maintance crews so everyone jumped in and did what was needed to keep machines running.
I designed and built several fiber production lines. I wrote programs for PLC's, Production line Applications and Database for inventory control.
My Father was a Gas/Diesel mechanic and I was under vehicles helping him since I was knee high to a grass hopper so I was a mechanic before I became an Electronics Tech.
