I have an 18hp desiel motor in which new rings and pistons were replaced in aug. now I find that the ring in one piston cracked, only the top ring nodamage to anything else. there is a small wear area on the sleeve but can that cause the damage,sleeve was reamed out prior to putting new pistons...

any one know what to use to get sleeve out. have been to parts ste has a wet sleeve puller. motor still in tractor so taking it some place is out. has anyone done this before and how hard of a job is it. hate to get in over my head.
