ok the backhoe is hooked up and it works! its actually quite speedy with the tractor at 1000rpm with decent power. maybe a bit too speedy actually haha. however i do have a question - on the 2 cylinders that control the left to right swing. theres these nuts that screw on to what im guessing...

Part way there. Got the valve installed, some new hoses and replaced some pipe fittings along the way. Next step is hooking up the backhoe. I'll see what i can figure out this weekend. Added a filter too

Sorry for title typo. Should says gpm. I've bought an old lw6 backhoe. It doesn't have the pto pump anymore as the guy I bought it off just had it running right from his tractor. It still has the built in reservoir. I'm trying to find out what size pto pump I would need to run it. I've heard 8...

Ok I think I figured it out. It's has an let model number so I found a PDF manual for it. Guess it's the bottom one. Shows this: Also the top one has a some sort of adjustment screw.

The lines on the right are the in and out, not sure if the top would be the in or out. Thanks Also what would happen if I got it the wrong way round. Would everything just work backwards?

this is a picture of the pressure side of the line from the pump into the controls. would i just be able to undo that 90 at the controls, add a tee fitting, put it back together. then run a line to the back for the backhoe quick connect? obviously the same for the return side into the reservoir...
