If you trust a federal agency to tell you the truth then you are a fool.

atv and utv year-around use (and in snow)

We use our Yamaha Wolverine X2 year round. No pics of it in the snow, though. I picked up a 2004 Polaris Scrambler about a month ago. Looking forward to getting the awd functional so it can see some snow action. And my minibike I modded over the winter last year. It's pretty quick for what it is.

Licensing: Taking away your rights, and selling them back to you.

    Best midsized SUV

Used Toyota 4Runner. Normally aspirated 6 cylinder, 5 speed automatic. And will probably outlive any of the other vehicles you mentioned at a 2 to 1 ratio (with the possibility of the Mazda) if you keep it protected underneath from the effects of salt.

    LS?

I never gave it a thought until I noticed a puddle of some rather thick oil on my garage floor where the right front tire of my tractor had been parked. I was always counterbalanced with either the backhoe attachment or a box blade but I exceeded the capability of that bearing at some point...

    LS?

You can do what you want, it's your tractor. I'm relaying my experience. Otherwise, my 2012 R4047 has been mostly trouble free.

Keep current truck forever or try to afford a new one every 5-10 years?

I'd be keeping that gem. I don't think anything you can buy now would be better.

    LS?

Be careful lifting heavy items with the loader and moving them around. Just because it can doesn't mean you should. I ruined the right front wheel bearing on my R4047H moving things around that approached its capacity (rocks, pallets of bagged coal, full buckets of wet dirt).

Keep current truck forever or try to afford a new one every 5-10 years?

On another forum I frequent I saw this K1500 Suburban for sale the other day. I think someone got a pretty good deal. https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/1994-chevy-suburban-k1500-in-seattle.1637317/

Keep current truck forever or try to afford a new one every 5-10 years?

I will not buy a new(er) truck at these inflated prices. Ridiculous. I've got a 2005 Tundra 4X4 I bought used in 2006. It only has 118,000 miles on it and has been very reliable. I didn't catch the surface rust in time on the frame so I had it coated with NHOU last fall which will prolong...

    Boots

I've got a fairly high arch and my job involves walking outside and inside on concrete a lot. My best combo so far are Dickies Shin Protector boot socks and UnderArmor Micro G Valsetz Mid leather waterproof boots. We get free boots (up to a certain price limit) every 9 months at work and...

    Subaru Automobiles

I live where they preemptively salt/brine the roads at the mere suspicion of an an inch of snow. Our Toyota vehicles ('13 RAV4-190,000 miles and '05 Tundra-118,000 miles) have no issues with it, but for some reason that Outback really didn't do well with it. I've gotten into the habit now of...

    Subaru Automobiles

We've had 3 Subarus: An '02 Forester, an '05 Outback, and a '17 Legacy. The Forester was totaled in an accident in which an immobile vehicle with no hazards or lights on was parked in the right north bound lane of interstate 81. My wife clipped its left rear with the right front of the...
