will a bush hog 860H be ok on a yanmar 1300d with subframe

When I blow air threw the input I get air out the power beyond but not the return so I figure its closed center here is a picture.

Ive got a 3 port valve that I believe is closed center but I have a fixed pump .Can I run both the return and power beyond to the tank and use it as open center?
