Try loosening the gas cap before running it. The check valve in the cap could be bad causing a vacuum to build up in the tank. Other possibility is the fuel pump. Spray starting fluid in the carb when it stops. If it then runs you know you have a fuel problem and not electrical. Bob B.

I and many other people use 10W40 motor oil. The Drive System Plus is synthetic so I use Mobil 1. You can buy 5 quarts at Walmart for $22 or so. Bob B.

I assume you checked the hydro fluid level. A low level can cause steering problems on those mowers. A pump going bad could cause problems. Bob B.
