After sitting my 216 won't even turn over When I turn the key on, I just get a clicking in the selenoid. I can turn the engine over going direct to the starter with jumpers. I'm thinking the selenoid is bad. How does one test it?

Just bought a Howes 3 pt 5 foot finish mower. Been stored inside all it life and turns over by hand. Got to get it home and look the whole thing over. Pretty happy I think I got a great deal.

I have a JD4100 that while blowing snow will just quit. If I let it sit, sometimes it will start. I'm thinking maybe it is in the key switch. Any Ideas out there.
