I need to keep the dirt 'black' in and around my shelterbelt when its planted this spring. What would be better to use for this: rake or tiller? no tractor yet...probably will be a BX2350. thanks in advance for any insight....

(I mean BX2350....cant change the title....) I have a limited budget and am needing to get the following done on my 5 acre lot: Keep dirt 'black' in new shelterbelt rows (12 450ft rows with 12'-15' spacing around each tree. Maintain ~3.5-4 acres of field grass (brush hog it from time to time)...
