    L3400 Battery size

I don't remember. I do know it spins the old Kubota faster than it's turned over in years.

    L3400 Battery size

And the correct battery for the 2007 Kubota L3400HST is..................................................group 24. Funny part is, I went and pulled the old battery out, and noticed it had one of those eyes to look in. It showed green. Ended up with a Deka.

    L3400 Battery size

I read that the difference between a 24, a 24F, the F is a flat top and the 24R was reverse polarity. I don't remember a flat top....of course I don't remember lots of things anymore.

    L3400 Battery size

I want to get a new battery for my L3400HST. I can't seem to find a definite answer as to size and the tractor is 60 miles away. Most charts say Group 24 but a few say 24F. The tractor was purchased new in 2007 or 2008 and beleive it or not, still has the original battery. Towards thge end of...

    Spin Down water filters

The water well at our cabin property is marginal at best. It tests very good for iron, hardness and so forth but since it's use is only on the weekends, it puts out a lot of sand/silt. It makes the water tea colored. Sometimes if we use alot of water in a short time, I can run it out of water...

    Got a bad S&W 38

Just had a disappointing experiance with my new S&W Bodyguard 38. I have always carried IWB in a Milt Sparks VM2 with the kydex clips so I could tuck in my shirt over it. Well in the summer heat, it can get a little hot and sticky where the holster rides aginst my skin. In talking to a guy at...

    Proposed pipeline serveyed

My cabin property is in Harrison County Ohio and as some may know, is a hotbed of oil and gas activity as of late, primarily the Utica shale play. A few weeks ago a guy contacted me and asked permission to do a servey study of a proposed 30" gas line. The plan is to parallel the existing power...

    Dunham cultipacker

At last I found a nice cultipacker. It's a 10' Dunham double roller in pretty good shape. Going to pick it up tomorrow night and take it to my cabin property. Since I have no trailer, a buddy said I could use his as long as it gets returned by Thursday. My worry at this point is...

Lost a JD 1240 planter part

I hope some one can help out a dummy. I have a 2 row John Deere planter, cut down model 1240, and lost a part. ( Well actually 2 ). The part goes on the rear press wheel adjustment linkage and is used to adjust the planting depth. It is about 1 1/2" long, round and less than 1/4" diameter, and...

    New pistol range

I am in the process of building a shooting range. It will be primarily a pistol range with the occassional rlfle round. It sits about 65 yards down a grade from my cabin so richocetts are a concern. So far I set 2 pieces of 4 1/2" well casing 3' in the ground with concrete. They are about 6'...

    Roma tomato

Is it just me or are the roma's the best tasting tomatos for just eating? Used to think the beef steaks were the best but not any more. I love to keep them in the fridge and grab a few and a salt shaker for a snack.

    Quick Hitch and the L3400

Thought I would ask this question here rather than in attachments hoping for a tractor specific rsponse. Looking for folks who have used a "quick hitch" on their L3400. As you 3400 owners know, the rear of these tractors are pretty narrow. My question is not about the merits or lack there of on...

    PTO shaft shields

Before I just cut this crap out of the way, thought I would ask here. I am trying to replace a grease zerk in my brand new tillers PTO shaft (it will not take grease) and the big plastic shield around the universal joint is giving me fits. Is ther a way to un-do or un-snap the collar that covers...

    New KK Tiller

I finally pulled the trigger on a new tiller today. After much diliberation between the 60'" and the 72", I bought the 60". It will cover my tracks by a few inchs on either side and will be a bit easier on the tractor. I bought it at Rural King since they were on sale at $1349. :D They prepped...
