I have rocks everywhere so I leave my bucket on, curled to the heel as some have recco'd here as well and it does help me ensure i know when something is coming along I'd rather not smash my blades on. I also leave it on as i have steep slopes and i tend to drive up those forward so it balances...
I agree. The 3 point brush cutter blade will annihilate that. Or use a canvas / nylon towing belt and loop it around the bush / stump etc and pull with tractor / car. Never fails.
Get one of these. I have found it to be enormously useful and makes picking long trees up an ease.

Attach it to your quick hitch, best if via a nice chunky D ring so the cable doesn't get sharp edges on it.
2032r seems like a good fit. I have 25 acres of sometimes heavily sloped fields, woods from which I pull tons of downed trees every year and flat lands and stables etc. Very rarely do I find something I can't pick up. I've pulled, to my amazement, 50ft trees along the ground. I'd get some wheel...
You want as much weight on the BACK of the tractor. And if it is so steep that you are worrying you might flip backwards, then yes reverse up the slope and then come back down again. Wheel spacing - not expensive definitely recommended. Might save your life. Do not turn around on a steep slope...
