If you have a scan tool that will clear codes on the ls, use that. If not, you may need to wait for it to clear on its own after x key starts. As far as I know, the cheaper scan tools may read codes, but can't clear them or communicate with the ecu otherwise.

How HOT is "hot"? Are the spindles seizing or will the blades free spin? belt/clutch squeal? bearing or other noises? weird vibrations? blade bolts tight/torqued? When working properly on first few passes, is it cutting a full swath or just the center section? (no belt driving outers)

Also, in addition to the ground, check the main 100Amp fuse off the + post for corrosion as well as the upstream 50Amp fuses. I was having intermittent starts due to that, & was only getting 5v to the fuse panel ... maybe the AC clutch is acting the same. manual is too big to post, but pm me...

If algae, pour in Biobor to kill & try polishing the fuel in the tank. Look at Boat videos for DIY polishing systems (basically a 12v fuel pump/filter/lines) & run that stirring up the tank. Here's one option:

After checking all the above ... What is the voltage reading at the fuse panel? same as at Battery? I had a similar issue caused by the Hot side wiring, specifically, corrosion at the 100 Amp main fuse. Battery read 12.6V, fuse panel showed 5V.

Bought the LS in Colorado at estate auction (got to transfer the Warranty), the Kubota in Texas at auction, & the Cat in Georgia at auction. All used in FL. No problems with any of them.

check the fuel pickup tube in the tank for a hole/corrosion/crack.

what is the actual voltage reading at the key switch & fuse panel? same as at battery?
