They are on board and happy to help out with the cost. And I'm at the end of the road, so road things seem to be more of my problem if I want to get from one end to the other :)
Thanks for all of the great responses.
My takeaway here is that both the front flow and rear blade are workable options. Since I'm only going to use this a couple times a year and some years not at all, I'm probably going to go the rear blade route, as that also gives me more of a...
I live at the end of a 1 mile private road, which is chip sealed. We get anywhere between 0-3 "problematic" storms per year, usually between 4-12" of snow at a time. This doesn't seem like a lot, but it's a nightmare every time. The road has some steep parts and camber to it, with deep ditches...
That's a good point, air could be getting past either the cylinder seal or the valve seal. Any idea on how to isolate which one is causing the problem, to avoid rebuilding both? I'm thinking that I could switch the hoses on the loader valve, to swap the lift/curl function, and see if the problem...
Yep, I keep the fluid filled up. And I would think that if air was getting sucked into the pump from the tank, all circuits would be effected, not just the loader curl circuit. And I would also think that would be something that happens when running.
Very low hours, I bought it with <60 and now have about 100. I think it was also a harvest return when the previous owner bought it from the dealer, so the loader probably has even fewer hours.
I do tend to agree though, there aren't many other ways that air could enter the circuit while the...
I've had an L2501 that I bought 2nd hand about a year ago. Overall it's been exceptionally useful, but there's something weird with the loader bucket curl circuit. If I leave it sit, even overnight, the bucket curl circuit becomes very floppy and I have to purge air out of the system by cycling...
I'm looking to buy a tractor for a number of things around the house. Long term it will be used for general utility stuff, which almost any tractor could do. But I do have some trails that I want to cut around my property to make it more accessible. It's a steeply sloped property, steep enough...
