I have a Kubota L3240DT with shuttle shirt. Bought in 2011. I love it and do with it exactly what you are planning. Brush hogging is easier with gears, just pick 1 and go. I've had no problems with loader work plus no whine of the tranny. Shuttle makes it easy. Jeff

My yard is so wet in the spring a zero turn would be stuck all the time. I have a Kubota 1850 and have to use 4 wheel drive in the spring or my yard would be out of control. With power steering it can go around obstacles fairly fast. Jeff
