I want to remind you guys in the HOT climate zones to watch your dog for excessive heat. My GSD will play fetch, chase the ball, run etc as long as I will play with her. She will overheat just because she wants to be with me. So excessive panting, tongue to the side drooling thick saliva etc...

Several years ago I had a similar situation, cut grass left un-baled. Solution: rake it off then mow the entire field. How much of the 20ac did your friend get baled? After 2 weeks the cut grass that wasn't baled needs to be either raked off and pushed into the woods or bale it to throw away...

I've read all 6 pages of this thread. I can definitely relate to being absolutely miserable with poison ivy/oak. My farm has plenty in the woods and some around the field edges. I try my best to stay clear especially in spring & summer. Winter time...easier to spot. Anyway, Dawn and cool water...
