When surgery patients arrive between 5:30 am and 6:30 am I’m often in the lobby for security…
I find myself saying good morning or welcome often…
Many appreciate it, some say I must be a morning person… far from it but I start at 4 am so I’m wide awake and fully engaged by the time patients arrive…
Some only mumble if anything because 5:30 is too early to be up… others say they won’t let me have coffee before surgery…!!!
No greeting from a staff member would just seem unprofessional…
