Nine inches of winter supposed to arrive tomorrow during the day

Well we are currently at 21 heading towards 19 with a high tomorrow supposed to be 30;
and Thursday evening is going to be down right cold.

It never gets that cold here. Where I grew up, -40 to -30 is an annual gift.

Back there it's currently 7 headed to -3 tonight. With flurries just for fun.

Like CalG, we were a few miles from MN. Not much to slow the wind or the snow as it moves east.

The office is closed tomorrow due to the storm; I need new tires on the truck, so I'm okay with this impromptu day at home.

About 5 inches of dry snow here today....Eastern Kansas....Going down to 15 deg F tonight. Never got the chains on....nor the back blade on the Kubota.....Was just a couple days ago that I was running the Cyclone Rake .....Took a day to clean it up and store away on a skid......same with the Stump Grinder...... Old men sure do work slow.

Got about an inch at my place in the Ozarks, according to my cameras ... I'm in Alabama now, headed to Atlanta in a bit, then off to Texas ... It will melt, even though it's only 22°F now.

Got 2" here last night. Enough to cover the grass and track animals. Usually we don't see a snow blower event until January.

I put the chains and plow on, put away the lawn tractor and excavator, started and ran the generator, and generally decluttered the parking area.

My activities have been similar over the last couple days ...

We have about a foot on the ground now. Surprisingly with the predictions here the snow came out on the high side. Yesterdays picture.

It was supposed to start last night but I was blessed with some time to move the utility trailer, with covered mower on it, to it's winter spot.

Everything is ready, last minute as always.
