Happy Thanksgiving
Colder at 39 and staying cold. Likely high for the day

Watched best in show dog competition. Beautiful dogs and the winner was Belgian Sheepdog. Our breed Shetland Sheepdog did not make it. The Shetland Sheepdog looked just like Cody with same colors black and white.

Buppies, hope you and others have an enjoyable day

Saw something I've never seen before on our hike this morning...a 167 lb chocolate Lab...he made Della (65 lbs) look like a puppy by comparison.
167 lb... that's lot of puppy chow over the years.

The She's real fine 409 was quite the engine back in the day. But the 348 was no slouch. We put one in a 60' Chevy Impala. I do not recall the rear axle ratio but when I owned the car, I had taken the 2spd slush box out and put a 3sp manual in. Four speeds were pricey and it was rare to find one in a junkyard. With that 348, you could start out in 3rd gear.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 9C and it's presently 19.1C, partly cloudy with occasional wind gusts.

Home yesterday from a successful Launceston trip. Parking around the hospital complex is near to impossible but I 'knew a place' and, sure enough, found a spot. The only downside to that is that it's on top of a very steep hill = my calves are aching, even now. The Endocrinologist appointment went very well. She's going to switch me over to Ozempic; hopefully that'll knock the 10kg I've put on since quitting smoking last February.

After a quick lunch, it was over to "Harvey Norman" to look at/purchase a 75" OLED smart TV. Short story is that, although it did fit in the full 8' box of my ute, I had to transport it strapped upright & angled as it wouldn't lay flat due to the wheel-wells.

I did arrive home by 1620. I've yet to unload the TV and swap, which will be today's task + disposing of the old TV. Truth be told, the now old TV also had images and some discolouration 'burnt in' due to my viewing habits.

Oh, and the Wine Faeries have a surprise for me at the PO. :)

I wish a lovely US Thanksgiving to those who celebrate. That's about it, take care all.

Kyle, looks like we need to add more stops on the Dessert Tour.

I know, I know, but I'm suffering from turkey tripnosis.

That would be a mastiff sized lab. I can't imagine breeding them for that size for any good reason. Getting out of a duckblind is one challenge that comes to mind. Large breeds don't typically live very long.
Happy Thanksgiving

Watched some of the dog competition. I would say the odds are similar to winning the lottery.

Arly that tree looks huge, like 2' diameter? Wow!

Stuffed so much in me, I had to take 2 antiacids. 3yo young nephew provided the entertainment. Wish I had 25% of his energy. But at least he listens now and minds fairly well. He likes to help out.

Son going deer hunting this evening. Using one of his grandpaws snugs. .35 Whelen in a Ruger M77 Mark II

Watching football, relaxing.

oh boy, are we all full now? a little overfull?
nice family dinner with the most amazing table decorations, host's mom did this amazing
car layout, including moving turntables! All old cars, and the napkin rings were rubber tires.
my eyes were bigger than my stomach, couldn't finish the last part of that mound of food.
sure was good and they sent me home with several pounds of stuff in a tupperware.
I finished dinner with a mug of hot tea and that helped to settle my stomach
