69°F and .1 inches rain.

Successful pickup at HD and fuels refills.

Got the flail repaired with the new, beefier Series 5 pto shaft

Even got the Hilo near section mowed.

Seriously considering giving up football to get more mowing done. Of course once I get internet installed in tractor I’ll have the choice to watch as I mow, just not there yet.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

got all my shrubs trimmed, roses managed to get me a few times.
Then pumped three gallons of pink stuff in rv and disconnected the internal water filters.
pink stuff coming out of bottom of water heater. Everything looks ok

now to make a quick trip downtown to pick up a prescription, gives me an excuse to go for a ride.
flatspot prevention, that's my story

I still have one nice yellow rose on the back wall. Amazed it has come through the freezing weather.
will probably go back out and cut it for my ailing landlady.

G’ten tag. Today is another “wood moving” day, hauling 1 cord from the wood lot up to stack in a covered rack next to my barn, on high ground that remains accessible when the wood lot on low ground can become harder to access in wet and warm periods. I’ll finish the day moving another 1/2 cord up to the house, which usually lasts us 2-3 weeks.

Well good late "morning" afternoon;
Late getting on the computer today, made a run down in Scotts.
Ran down to Watertown Ct. to Shelter Logic, left home at 5:30 AM danged early for an older retired person.
Made it down in good time got there just a bit after 8:30 AM, didn't get loaded till a quarter after 9, took almost an hour to get it all tied down. Got home about 1:30 PM, then had to get a tarp over the card board boxes cause it was snowing. Had snow flurries in Ct. and Mass. and then on and off in NY and it has started and stopped a few times here at home.
I had queried the "sales" girl several times about the sizes of the boxes and pallets. She had given me some very large numbers, 168" long and 52" wide and 48" tall with a weight of over 1100 pounds. So I drug the big trailer all the way down, when I got there and saw the pallet they brought out it would have all fit in the pickup.
Kind of a pain to get it all tied down so I wouldn't make the towing something wrong thread :) .

Not much of a load on this trailer,.................................doesn't look quite as bad in this one.

Truck did good on this little trip, I was 10 miles down the road before I reset the trailer odometer.
So 16.5 mpg towing the trailer. Eight hours in all with just under 6 hours driving.

Got behind again. Weather still fair, but no rain, even though it was predicted for the last 5 days. A small squall just now petered out before getting here.
Since no rain, I took advantage and did some more pond weed clearing. But alas, my repurposed basketball goal post got bent when I curled the lift cylinders too far down. It has seen better days, just not too many of them. Rethinking my 2.0 version.
Actually, I can drive the bigger tractor pretty far down into the pond just before the axle gets into the water, turn the bucket down and back out pulling the weeds up on the shoreline. I have about 10 piles of weeds each as big as a sedan or so.

Weather has been balmy nice. 56F this morning going to 73.

Here is a nice webcam link to Corpus Christi's packery channel cam.

Popgadget, was thinking about you when I saw this video about the iconic B&O record player dating back to 1973 and restored to better than new condition. B&O bought up old record players and is selling them again as refurbished for 11,000 dollars but apparently a superb product

Brother had a Dual, and bought an Accutrac (sp?) that had a laser to detect the gaps between tracks. Almost as good as a CD player. It had a remote control.

What I’m finding with my new Zero Turn is that the blades rotate much faster than my old Wheel Horse and I’m able to mulch up most of my leaves on the ground , in the end I do use the lawn sweeper to pick up the mulched leaves that I’ve made rows of. Seems like a lot less work than before with the old mower. 😉
This is what I do, mow over many times to mulch and then spread the row out.

Cost is one thing, but the bigger obstacle is admitting I'm not 25 years old, anymore. :ROFLMAO:

That said, I am cheap. I just rebuilt the whole top end on the engine on my current ZTR last summer, and stripped and repainted the deck the year before. I want to get every last penny out of this machine, before I ever think about replacing it. I can afford a new mower, but I hate wasting money.
I'm with you. Fix, fix fix..
I need some bumper stickers:
"Don't laugh, its paid for"
and
"Don't laugh, I can fix it for 1 of your car payments"

Bought my JD diesel mower 23 years ago. Still running very good after all the years.
Nice, those are very pricey.
Still have my Steiner Beast. I could mow with it right now, but it could use some love.

30F clear sky.

Somehow caught heavy chest cold with all the side effects, pillow time start in couple hours.

Hope all had positive day and peaceful evening.
Hope you are getting cleared up by now.

Thanksgiving coming up be thankful for all we have

Precious has bad separation anxiety got to deal with that when we are gone out

Another rough day for Holly yesterday getting divorced etc. this is very emotionally draining

You just reminded me that I’m probably overdue for the second shingles shot. I think it’s supposed to be 2-6 weeks after the first?
Prayers for you and Holly.
Enough time has passed for me to get the 2nd shingles shot now.

I got a shingles attack in 2004 during the first 2 months of dealing with retirement decisions. It showed up in left for-head . I thought it was a bug bite. If not treated it can move into eye. Not fun. Early treatment and getting retirement decisions settled helped a lot.
In 2020 I got Singles Shots. First one then 2 months later got second shot. Dr’s reason for getting shots was you can get Shingles more than one time.
Yes as previously described, stress can cause it to rear its ugly head.

Can we call wireless hole punchers snug(s) (spelled backwards)?

Prayers for our team, our nation, and for peace in the world.

Good Tractor Morning Drew,

The big question is who could figure out how to do a downshift without grinding the gears ? 😂 Very tricky for people that have no clue how to perform a double clutch at the correct rpm and even trickier for people that have never driven a standard transmission. I’m sure Bill could do it, he was a professional driver 🙏
Always found it easier to double clutch going round corner.

30F cloudy weatherman tad off  snow flurries started around 11am ground cover white now.

Did enough to keep the dust bunnies off me 2 nap day  body sore also head from coughing early pillow time again tonight.

Enjoy your evening all.
