Then assembly with new chain, and sprocket along with an idler sprocket too!

We got snow on the higher peaks yesterday, and here also the forecast is for heavy frost in the mornings so I'll be winterizing the camper tomorrow!

Yeah, getting ready I understand. However, what is that thing in the picture? Someone said it was a "snow blower" but why would you want to blow snow? Seems like you would want to stay inside and wait till it melted! Only times it has snowed here, it shuts the city down!

Pretty close this AM: 35f was the low just after first light. The cooler weather really helped some of the garden to really take off. It's gonna be a sad time to see the tomatoes get bit as there a a LOT of green ones. That's OK, the DW makes some really good breaded green tomatoes.

You can pick those green ones and put them in a paper bag and close up the top to trap the ethylene gas.

They’ll ripen up.

I haven't even closed our pool, yet. I usually wait for the water temperature to drop below 65F, as there's basically zero chance of algae below 65F. With several-day strings of 80F highs still popping up, we could be waiting awhile longer.

We are going to have lots of tomatos down stairs "reading the papers" waiting to turn from green to red.
But ... we have been drying them the last couple of years, and they sure can be a treat that way.

Eat the dried cherry tomatos (seasoned to our liking) out of hand, like chips.

The fat slices end up like some sort of "chip" good for dipping, they don't break!

Cold front is coming through here as well on Wednesday. Not a hard freeze for us but into the 50s Thursday night. Looking forward to some cooler days. May have to bust out the long pants before long. Either that or stay in the house till it warms up, which doesn't take long once the sun is up. Maybe enough time for an extra cup of coffee.

We paint ours when we take it off at the end of the season, so it doesn't have all summer to rust up. If we were to paint the throat now, it would just wear away the first time we had to use it this Fall.

It looks like you have your back window open in that picture. Is that a visibility thing, or just the heater is too warm?
