good afternoon

i have a kubota m100 that i am trying to fix. i have the valve rigged up with a pressure gauge but havent been able to get the pressure i want out of it. in fact theres not much for pressure at all, but upon cracking the hose from the pump there is hydraulic oil in the line. This is a tandem style hydraulic pump system, the 3 point hitch and the loader valve run off the same pump. the 3 point hitch is function, but i cant get anything out of my loader valve. is there some sort of diversion valve or relief that i should be checking? suction ports are clear, filters are new and primed. thx.

Where do you have the gauge installed?

If teed into the pressure line you will need to operate a function to see pressure.

yes it is a T. I tied into the P port.

You CANNOT 'tee' into pressure lines, every valve has to be added in series, you effectively have yours in parallel.

The fluid, like electricity, will 'take the path of least resistance' back to the tank, so when you operate one valve-the fluid will just flow through the other one.

Just put your gauge on a quick connect and plug it into one of your remotes, then operate the control for that valve on way should get you the dead headed system pressure.

I think you're adding confusion to the situation. There's nothing wrong in adding a tee and pressure gauge (which as I understand it is what was done) to any circuit. You're ASSUMING he has valves in parallel, which although a possibility here, is still unconfirmed. I'll wait to get more information on what he has, and what he's done before further comment.

The question was about Teeing a pressure gauge into a pressure line. That works fine.
Nothing has been said so far about how the valves are configured.

My bad...I did read too fast and assumed he added a valve.

But:
If he added a Tee and gauge to the PB loop, he really won't see much pressure till the system is deadheaded.

Lots of replies so far but not a lot of help yet. Why not start over.

Tell us about the system, what went wrong to begin with, why you needed a gauge, what works and what doesn't. Curious minds need details. Without the comments don't mean much.

it first started having issues with the FEL, slowly creeping down . Took it into the dealer because I was just flat out busy , (huge mistake). Seemed fine at first then eventually it stopped working all together . I pulled the valve apart to find some parts missing (heater plug) . So I got a re seal kit and installed it. Still nothing . I hooked up my pressure gauge , haven’t been able to get much for pressure . When I ran the unit in the winter , I did notice sort of a wheezing coming from the pump area. It sounded like cavitation , so I checked my plumbing, new filters , all new oil . The pump isn’t making the noise now, so I’m wondering if the pump is cooked ?? Which doesn’t make sense because my 3P system works . I will see if I can put the 3P system under load to see if it can actually lift anything . Appreciate all the responses . Thx
