Good option for someone that cannot store a trailer onsite or does not use this size trailer often.

The center ramp would also be good for moving older (now antique) tricycle front tractors. Likely have to understand how much weight each ramp can handle.


Anyone have a guess what it would cost to buy a trailer like that?

I've heard U-haul now asks what will be pulling the trailer and what will be carried, to see if they will approve the rental.

I wonder what their restrictions are for the tow vehicle.

Looks pretty sweet. I had a problem a while ago that I wanted to tow an older Chevy 3500 single rear wheel pickup. And, it was slightly too big for my trailer at the time. U-Haul trailers were also too small, and I just couldn't find anything adequate to rent.

I'd love to grab an old U-Haul as a small car trailer. But I'm told that very few make their way into private hands because they are rather beat up by the time they are retired.

I would think the restrictions would be pretty simple. A load less than 6845 lbs and a tow vehicle with a hitch and vehicle rating to pull 10,000 lbs.

I doubt it. They would want the tow vehicle to be able to handle the stated GVWR of the trailer.

Otherwise liability issues would be a problem for Uhaul.
