Ken, you might have loved my 55 Packard Clipper Super Panama. The first year of the OHV engine. Carter 4bbl 12 volt positive ground system. Torsion ride suspension. Twin Ultramatic transmission. Top end about 130 mph. From '55 till '72 it was in a single last name, my grandfather bought it new, traded in a '53 Packard Mayfair in on it.
Ex wife made it disappear for me. :( Now you know why I am not married anymore.

Good morning, the low is 25 and going to a high of 36°F. Wind WNW 11 gusting to 17 mph. Light snow ending sometime this morning then 40% chance of flurries.

My fuel delivery meter came in yesterday, now I need to go to Burks Falls to get a 3/4" nipple to mount it to the pump. Might as well do a dump run while I am at it.

That is my day planned out, I'm not doing anything with the pump until the weather warms up some. Like it was a week ago.

Have a safe day all

Coffee is brewing. 34° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 51° with partly cloudy skies. .11" rain yesterday. Good conserve energy day. Did get Sassy walk in. In the 1/2 hour walk Got Sun, Clouds, Rain, Sleet, Snow and back to Sunshine. Wind was constant. Must be spring in Michigan. Plan to get something done today. Just haven't picked the items on todo list.
More of the cleanup crew.

39 going to 64. Terribly windy yesterday and less wind today.

Buppies, that's rotten luck to get sick with all that you are handling. Hope you're better soon.

Those old cars sound wonderful. Always fun to see them at a car show.

Don, glad you are pleased with the repairs to your truck.

It had been a 3 days since a hike and swim, so needed to take Della. It was clear she needed the exercise. Then took my wife to her regular eye exam...turns out they didn't need to dilate. Stopped by the store to pick up a few things and got new soccer ball for Della. She loves to play and wore out her old ball.

good morning all
cloudy cool day but I see the real warmup starting on Friday.
This weekend will be a major veggie plant day.

got a nice note from guy running the township Ag meeting tonight at township hall, asked me to
come and talk about my experiences from a hobby farmer basis.
choice of in person or zoom, and I think I will zoom.
I really don't like crowded public places, avoid them strongly, and hope to avoid getting sick like Buppies
did in hospital.

wow talk about adding injury to insult to injury for Buppies, feel better quickly friend.

I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in my car but most importantly have trained myself when I get home to wash my hands.
learned a lot about avoiding norovirus taking many cruises and never getting sick.
once in a while not a bad idea when using a disinfectant wipe for something else to wipe down door knobs, appliance pulls, etc.
particularly any place someone other than yourself has touched.

getting sick at our age is miserable and dangerous. I'm reminding about the ounce of prevention.

Good Morning,
Ct, 40 to start going to 47. Cloudy skies with a random sprinkle here or there.

Lots of little jobs to do around the homestead today. Have to run to the pharmacy at some point to pick up a prescription. Kathleen wants some help cleaning the house this morning and I have started doing some mulch around the house on Monday and need to work on that.

PJ , good to hear you on again.

Buppies, get well soon and feel better 🙏

One of Kathleen’s drawers broke on her dresser and I need to fix that this morning.

That’s about it for now, hope all have a great day 🙏.

good morning, 42 going to 53

Picked up groceries and prescription yesterday

Was able to turn over the welding table with the help from the come-along. Found some 25 ft plus long reclaimed lumber from tearing down the feeding crib. Not sure how old this lumber is but very dense and much heavier than todays std size lumber. Will use those to span between the posts and form the wall. Also found a heavy butcher block table top 5 ft by 28 inches and a work table with heavy duty support legs and metal shelf to use it for. Could be good for some of the welding equipment.

Reviewed some more GD's college plans and wrote down an outline of our support and conditions. Set up a conference call with her and family to review.
Some how this Fluke ended up on the work bench

Good morning,
39° now highs around 50° and cloudy today. Winds W 10-20 mph.

Yesterday’s weather turned out better than forecasts, rain stopped around 10:00 am and the sun popped out. Too wet to accomplish anything outside so decided to go for a ride and get some lunch. Rain returned around 3:30 along with some boomers through evening. Need the rain still and was a good excuse for energy conservation.

Not sure what today will bring, may get lawn mower out and get that up and running for the season. Would love to be planting stuff in garden but way too early here.

Buppies - hope you feel better soon.

Enjoy your day everyone

8 years ago I was learning how to stick weld, and started off by rebuilding a Gravely wing mower.
I had bought two of these very rare self powered mowers, and wanted to build a custom three mower gang setup and take it to the
Grange Fair. That never happened, but I did get the two wing mowers going.
I used what I knew from basic woodworking, practiced on a bunch of scrap steel and went at it.
and found out that much of welding involves grinding if you don't know what you are doing...
But when it was all done, hope more pics will pop up soon, for the after pic, it was very satisfying.

there was so much pine pollen there I had to tarp just about everything under the shed.
once a week I'd use blower to blow it all into the woods

Good morning TBN!!
39 this morning. We probably won't make 70 today under partly cloudy.
Yesterday was conserve energy day. Too windy to get in the tank to pressure wash.
The only productive thing I really did was give the dog a bath. That can still be quite a chore though. He is getting better about it at least.
Today's agenda remains to be seen.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good Morning.
61°, probably the high for the day. Grey, but not raining, although that is supposed to change later.

Yesterday’s trip went well, people that I never flew before, but were very nice. Invited us to lunch at their facility where they had a catered BBQ. We had a great lunch and headed back to the airport while they continued their business.

When we got back to the airport, as we were walking up, there was a kid and his mom looking through the fence, and I heard the kid tell his mom “that’s a Cessna Citation”. So I asked him if he had ever been in one. He said no, so I said come with us. His mom got pictures of him sitting in the captains seat, we answered a batch of questions for him, and walked around looking at other parked planes, and discussing them. He was very aviation savvy for a 12 year old.
He made our day, I hope that we made his as well.

Just got back from breakfast with the professor, I’ve got to locate a fiber optic cable for a neighbor, and then pick up some wire and electrical supplies to electrify the new shed. Not a lot else planned, but we will see what pops up.
You sure made that kid's day, maybe changed his life.

Monday came down with noro virus I did not know a human could poop or throw up that much very weak now. Hospital called this afternoon said it’s running rampant there so that’s where I got it. They are still working on her dosages. It seems I’ve lost several days and very tired. Not much in house to nibble on trying to drink sugar free Gatorade.

That’s all for now
Prayers Bupps and wife. Hope you get feeling better. No fun being sick when nobody else around. Can son bring you something to drink for fluids?

Sold my old 2003 car to an old co-worker for his daughter. He's an engineer who fixes all his own cars. Has a huge family with 8 kids, 3 are foster kids he adopted. Hope the car works out good for his daughter.

I bend my mower's links when I go down and up a ditch. It helps to raise the 3pt all the way when transitioning.

Our school has around 75,000 students on our huge campus. It really is it's own city in a city. We have our own power generation plant, water supply tower. The degree I work for has about 450 students. Total engineering student population is close to 25,000.

Son has a tennis tourney this AM. Will go to watch. He gets frustrated when he plays kids that play tennis year round and they beat him. Being a multisport athlete has it's drawbacks.
