Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 5:00AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 74F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.
Bounced around town most of yesterday running errands. Started off at the bank cashing in some '80s era savings bonds. The poor clerk ended up typing in each of those serial numbers at least three times because her scanner thingy kept misreading them. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry, and she grumbled about it being a good thing she didn't order out lunch. Used the funds from the bonds to purchase more Tesla stock, going, in my mind at least, from the most conservative to the most speculative of investments, but it wasn't a lot of money. It's just good to take a swing at the gold ring once in a while.
Got home to find a new Makita string trimmer leaning up against the front door. I knew it was on the way, but didn't think my errands would take so long. Got it put together, and will give it a workout today. Will also get some photos of the Stihl it replaces, for Craig's List and Facebook Marketplace ads.
Not that the ads will do any good, as there seems to be fading interest in those I already have up, including the house up north. The Zillow view counts are half what they were last week, and there haven't been any showings all week, either. I wonder of all of the government turmoil has anything to do with it?
A couple of new signs were also delivered. One for the front door: No Soliciting or Flyers, the other with logos of the delivery companies asking "put the packages here" that will go on a large Knack box on the front porch. The post lady is already using it, but needs coaching on working the hasp lock.
The laptop seems stalled in the FedEx hub in Memphis, but still shows a before noon delivery time here. Bet that's gonna slip.
