Black Chicken meat for dinner

Ayam Cemani the all black chicken.
Everything is black except for the eggs and the eggs are as white as snow.
I use to raise them but I never ate the chicken only the eggs.

They are from Indonesia , I use to sell hatching eggs on Ebay I have gotten close to $100 for 18 eggs they were a lot more expensive than that when they were 1st imported to the states.

I love dipping chicken boobies in egg and coating with a mixture of panko bread crumbs, parmesan and other spices. so simple, but really delicious to me.

I'm pretty sure the skin "juice" is dark and will stain other while skin birds if they are processed together. I seem to recall talking to a local meat processor and they did one batch of those and then had to shut down and clean their whole operation before they could do other chickens.
We tend to have some chickens who have very yellow skin/fat due to some preferring to eat mostly a natural diet of whatever they want around the yard. Others just eat mostly feed it seems.

Never tried the black chicken, but I’ll give you an idea of something good to try. Sounds weird, looks good and tastes great.

I get what you mean! It's one of those things where you’re curious but not necessarily running to try it. If someone serves it up, sure, I’d try it, but I’m not actively seeking it out. Black chicken just seems a bit extra, but hey, it could be good!

I always choose dark meat on chicken if I can. So... WHich poart is the dark part... Hmmm. Wouldn't matter I would try any of it.

Kinda like the time I ate a 100 yr old duck egg. It was a double dawg dare!
