It’s that time of the year when the buzards/turkey vultures (?) migrate north from Mexico. There can be more than a hundred slowly circling while thy drift north. It sometimes takes an hour before they are out of sight.
We occasionally leave a cow that has died for the turkey vultures and eagles rather that burying it or giving it to the local game farm. The local game farm has meat eaters (bear, lions, etc.), but the managers are picky, the cow has to have died within so many hours, etc.
I planted 50 tulips+25 crocus in one area in Fall. They were coming along fine until deer showed up . So just now put a charger around (I tried & rubber sole shoes shocked like crazy). For whatever reason deer don't bother daffodils.
