Something I want but can’t afford?

It’s been said that the perfect wife is Mary Poppins with the kids, Julia Child in the kitchen, Martha Stewart with the housekeeping, and Raquel Welch in the bedroom. I’ve come to the conclusion those are four separate women, but I can’t afford four wives.

But do you know how many guys have had four different wives?
Probably way too many!
I know two was enough for me

Before the pandemic decent condition small used CTLs with mulchers were in the $60k range. I thought about buying one, using it on my land and then selling it. If nothing too expensive needed fixing then it wouldn't cost too much. But it's a gamble.

Now they're a lot more expensive.

There is a thread in the past month about CTLs, and there are several options, brand new, warranty, at the $65k mark, depending on your HP, hydro, and creature comfort requirements

I can assure you, You aren't the only one to ever be stupid with money. I've done plenty of stupid with money !

I come from very frugal parents and grandparents… maybe too much so as I was getting a pay check at age 12 and never looked back… working my way through university on a pay as you go approach.

Looking back maybe I should have been a little more on the fun/frivolous side… especially when friends were calling and I would say can’t… working.

I heard a few of the neighbors commenting to the folks I worked too much in my teen years…

Maybe my frivolous period is ahead?

No need. Most women will go through all four phases, if you stay with them long enough, although mine somehow skipped over Martha Stewart. Maybe that's coming after the kids are moved out.
