Good morning!!!!

finished doing turbotax with my brother, glad he was here, they ask a lot of questions.
there was a gotcha; license said it included doing one state income tax. What they didn't say, the gotcha, is
if you want it efiled, they charge 25 bucks for that. Still, software plus that 25 is still a bargain.

not sure what I'll get into today. Not very warm out, 24 out, but going up to 50 tomorrow.

Not doing much of anything today. My RA has flared up the last few days and my right hand is swollen and hurts. Couldn't even grab a cup of coffee with it this morning. I go in for a Renflexis infusion tomorrow morning. Couldn't' come soon enough for me. I took some Prednisone, but it typically takes 5-6 hours to work. Chewed on some OTC pain reliever in the meantime.

Hope everyone is warm and cozy. The high today is going to 78. I've been running the AC here in the afternoons. ;)

Morning all, 18 going up to 38 and sunny, calling for light snow tonight.
Yesterday spent time running up/down stairs and ladders.
Fixed headlight on Jeep.
Replaced batteries on the CO2 and fire alarms in apartment.
Got the temp alarms set up in apartment and garage and working well so far.
The got all of the insulation, including some new into the areas that are open from the burst pipe.
Got one panel back up.

Now need to cut some OSB patch, buy some trim pieces and put back the second, larger, panel.
Then patch the hole in the sheetrock ceiling and paint. So about 1/2 way done on cleanup.

Lots of talking back and forth with my laid off friends. Then had talk with wife about what happens and how much I need to make to keep us ok for the next 4 years until I retire if I get walking papers.

Watched Gladiator 2 and think it is much better than the first one, but boy did they change history to fit the script.

Phil- happy birthday to SIL and really love the pen.

Happy birthday Kathleen !

Will see if I have time/truck to get the ceiling trim today and paint.
I have some OSB, so will need to cut that and have Sheetrock, so patch should get at least prepped today. Still tired from cold, which is still lingering here.

Son was at a battle of the bands about 2 miles away from the plane crash in NE Philly, he said many roads were closed and lots of service vehicles about, sad stuff.

Be well,

Tinhack, sorry about your RA, sounds painful.
thankfully my OA responds nicely to warm water, if my hands hurt, I run them under
the warm/hot faucet a while. I'm on celebrex and steroids every day no matter what. Hope your infusion
knocks it back.

Tinhack your little town is about the size of mine. I googled it and looks like the area has been "discovered" on the
East side with new housing going in. Probably new housing all over that area of Texas, I hear they are going to build
six ten lane highways directly to California, move all those folks over your way. ;)
there goes the neighborhood...and the water.

Maybe someday I'll tow an rv trailer to Texas for the winter and snowbird.
then go on day trips to explore.
I'm sure I only scratched the surface of Texas when I came through there.
though I know I met its finest citizens.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 8:30AM. Light rain and wind early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. Potential for flooding rains. High 59F. Winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
Got 1.25" of rain yesterday and another 0.8" since midnight. The wind right now is anything but light, fluctuating between 25 and 35 MPH. In the wee hours last night we had gusts to 44 MPH, and it sounded like the roof was gonna come off and the glass sliders would break. The 10-day is calling for another 6" of rain through Friday.

I like the idea of using your iPad in the car/truck/RV, Drew. Nice big screen, and you can also listen to podcasts and audio books, use Siri to send and listen to text messages, make and receive phone calls, and run a lot of other apps. Logitec makes a nice keyboard/case that makes typing a LOT easier on the iPad.

Kitchen is cleaner, but still need to empty and pack all the cabinets, and give the insides a good wipe down. Also clean out the fridge and mop the floor. Plenty to stay busy today.

If the rain eases up, I'll take a walk around the property looking for downed trees. Still have three down from the last storm, but need another log chain to get to them. Probably have to borrow one from a neighbor, as all but one of mine are down south already.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

73°F and .33 inches rain.

Got the section I refer to as Hilo near mowed before the rain got serious. Rewarding in that it was 2nd mowing of area of heavy guinea grass that I broke/lost 1 of my rear stabilizers and itlooks good. Disappointing in that I had high hopes I would find said stabilizers. Nope. Apparently it made its way over the edge or, more likely, is buried under a thick mat of grass. Guess I’ll be looking each time I mow the area.
Nice evening & dinner out with friends.

Hope to get another section mowed today, wx permitting.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

ordered a few parts from Amazon, radiator cap for Ford came in, should be plastic and 21psi.
what came is all metal, very heavy duty, 15 psi but in the right box. Somebody switched them.
they offered to send another one. Why not, they don't want this one back. Maybe some one needs a 15psi radiator cap...
I'll give it to the rv mechanic likely.

I need to do 2 states this year, $45 just to download another state., in addition cost to file 2 states... Should look at doing it on paper instead. Turbo tax almost made me miss reporting my land sale. Wasn't where I expected, and it wasn't one of the questions. Only because I went searching did i find out how to report it.

Good Afternoon,
I've been lengthening Della's hike as she has gotten older. Her longest so far is 8+ climbing a mountain, but usually at the river we do 4-5 since it has limited trails.
Billy, thanks for the explanation! 8 miles is a serious hike ! 5 miles and I’m pretty tired ! Dells must be also ! 🙏
Happy birthday Kathleen !
Thanks Ken, I will certainly pass that on to her ! Good luck with the ceiling repair ! 🙏
