We have 4 officers on Brady List national wide,5 officers on state Laura List, and the Chief facing excessive force charges good chance he shall lose his officer immunity.Like you said, some are legitimate. But some are illegal requests. A police officer does not have the right to violate the law, even if you think you’ve done nothing wrong.
There is no freedom without people standing up for their rights. Just be respectful.
I’ve seen plenty of YouTube videos of corrupt cops pulling illegal stunts. One was an officer making his dog indicate presence of drugs, so they could search the car. Dog went around with no indication, until the office did a tap on the window, the dog “indicated” and the officer immediately gave the dog his treat. Unfortunately for that officer, a rookie officer faced him the whole time, and didn’t turn his body cam away like the other officers present did. For that “rookie mistake”, the town paid a huge lawsuit. They tore the guys car apart, found no drugs. There whole basis for the stop was “he looked suspicious “. That in and of itself illegal.
Another one, guy records kids riding 4 wheelers at his dog and himself, just harassing him for no reason. Turns out it was sheriff’s son doing it but guy didn’t know that. Guy recorded the sheriff coming to his house and threatening him(out of
uniform). Guy then finds out, on camera when guy gave his name, oh, you’re sheriff ahole? Sheriff no long employeed.
Many many videos like that.
I have good friends that are officers, but too many bad ones out there.
I want to be on the jury for those cases.
some of the J6 people telling how they were treated is just sickening. You say surely that wouldn’t happen in the US, but it did.
Lots of innocent people with nothing to hide go to jail.
As the saying goes..."Badge only as good as the person wearing it"
