Good Morning,
Ct. 26 to start going to 42 with rain coming in early afternoon!

Buppies, Happy Anniversary! 🎉🎊

Phil, beautiful job , that’s pretty thin, nicely done!

Thanks for the well wishes, still all plugged up with my sinuses ! Woke Kathleen up again around midnight, so I know she isn’t happy ! I went to bed right after 8 pm and other than the coughing fit at midnight I slept until just after 5 am, so not a bad sleep !

Today will be Energy Conservation Day !

It sounds like I will be cleaning snow Monday, so hopefully a little better by then ! 🙏

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Good morning, the temp right now is 31 and it is going down to 28°F. -15 overnight. Wind S 11 mph. Getting breezy later in the day. NW 18 gusting to 30 mph later today.
Forecast was for 2" and we've got 3 so far with a lot more coming before this little storm is done. Block heater is turned on. Will plow about 1 or so.

There was only one winter that I ran without snow tires, that was waaaaayyyyy back in 1971, I put brand new bias ply Firestone summer tires on my Plymouth and ran them for the winter. Whenever I went to work I always ran the back roads.Smart? NO. Economical? Yes. Have I done it again? NO! Now I get 5% off my insurance if I use snow tires in winter.

My insurance company is saying that if I allow them to put a tracking device on my car that will lower my rate by 20%. I am saying NO!. Absolutely not. This tracking device is supposed to be an app on my phone. I wonder how that will work when quite often I leave my phone at home or IF I take it with me it is shut off.

Time to get breakfast into me.

Have a safe day all

Scott, feel better soon.
lot of bugs going around and sadly your grandchildren likely have lots of them...

20 percent off is huge discount Bill. That would save me 300 bucks.
total lack of privacy though, big brother to the max.
but if you rarely speed, probably not a problem

I wonder what our modern cars are tracking already.
I think there is some kind of basic "flight recorder" data held somewhere in a major crash.

33 going to 49. Maybe a little rain. Our snow forecast for tomorrow has dropped.

Scott, get well soon!

Took the tractor down the hill in the snow to cut down a big dead oak. I have R4s, but coming back up the hill with a heavy load of rounds, I needed 4WD to keep my grip. Because the temps had warmed up to 40, the snow was slush, and I was reaching the turf underneath, which I did not want to tear up.

Prayers for LS and Dona.

Wow, I guess the Clipper is due here sooner than I thought. It will be here tonight instead of Tuesday as I thought. We'll see wind chills in the 10–20-degree range. That's brutal for this far south. The garden standpipes have been wrapped since before Christmas. That's about all I worry about.

It's not too bad right now but the warning is already showing up.

Good Morning from Central Texas.

5:30am, 52 degrees, cold front sometime today. Low 28 tonight (kid stuff for you northerners). By Monday High only 38 with a 60% chance of snow/sleet Monday night.
Will get the cattle fed today and move some bales for a friend up the road.
In 2024 the USAF introduced the F15EX, a modernized version of the F15E Strike Eagle. The EX version upgraded the radar, weapons payload, cockpit controls, electronic warfare capability and sensor arrays.
The F15EX is faster and has longer range than the F22 Raptor. The upgrade improves the number of air to air missiles and for precision strike, it can carry sixteen GBU-39 Bombs.

Hope all have a safe and enjoyable day.

That 20% would sell out my privacy to the tune of $216.oo/year. The insurance would just find another way to jack up that 216 bux. In summer and on dry roads I am almost always 7 to 10 mph over the limit.
In a crash the cops can download the computer in your car and tell what speed you were doing at the time of the crash. They do it with big trucks often.

I ALWAYS take my phone with me when I plow. That would REALLY screw up the insurance snoop. NOPE I value my privacy more than that.

I was offered that "discount" too. Most modern phones now days know how fast you're going as well as your stopping patterns and acceleration. It's like having your insurance agent with you in the front seat. The insurance companies want to tap into that info to see how you drive. Can be good or it can be bad. I don't like it.
